Sayers outbrakes rival for final success

Ryan Sayers secured second place in a thrilling finale to the Production GTi Championship at Snetterton Circuit.

He had a four-point lead over third-placed Simon Vercoe going into the weekend. A close battle in the first race saw him finish third, meaning he had to beat Vercoe to finish ahead of him in the points table.
Halfway through the race, Sayers out-braked his rival at 130mph to take second place in the race and secure overall runners-up spot.
“This season has been the best by far and the team has proved we are competitive and capable of winning the championship,” he said.
“We are looking for partners for the 2024 championship assault. I believe we can develop the car and bring home gold.
“For a little family team I am extremely proud of what we have achieved.
“We even had the biggest crowd following us at the finals weekend, which was most overwhelming.”
