Ruth honoured with Queen’s Nurse title

Complex case manager Ruth Foster has been honoured with the title Queen’s Nurse.

It is awarded by the community nursing charity The Queen’s Nursing Institute and indicates a commitment to high standards of patient care, learning and leadership.

Ruth, of Moulton Seas End, works for Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust and said: “I am thrilled to have it. I’ve worked hard since qualifying and I think it’s a well-earned reward for all the effort and hard work.”

She began her NHS career in 1991, starting in dentistry as a dental health educator for South Lincolnshire before being seconded to do nurse training. Having completed her training, Ruth started as a staff nurse on joining Bourne Community Team.
