Rose Festival to mark ten years of growing

A ten-day Rose Festival will mark 40 years of rose growing and breeding at Baytree Nurseries Garden Centre.

The Festival starts tomorrow (Friday) and runs until July 19 and will introduce a brand new rose – the Reinhard Biehler MBE.

This large flowering floribunda is pink in bud and mauve in flower and is a fitting tribute to a man who has dedicated much of his life to creating beautiful roses.

The rose will be unveiled to the public at the festival and will be available to buy next year.

Other attractions during the festival will include:

hundreds of freshly cut blooms on display

special offers on potted roses

rose fields open for viewing

pre-order and reserve for autumn delivery or collection

great deals on rose feeds and treatments

discounted secateurs and gloves

tips and advice from rose experts.
