Rodgers checks out for Drayman’s

Drayman’s A kept up their good start to the Spalding League season with a 7-2 win against Green Dragon in Division One.

Singles wins came from Josh Grainger, Steve Urch, Logan Goddard and Richard Cooper. Dragon’s Finn Rodgers had a 116 check-out.
Consti A kept up their title charge with a 6-3 win over Rose and Crown. Jack Chilvers got the decisive win to seal it but player of the night was Jason Vine, who had two 18-dart legs and check-outs of 104 and 110 in his singles win over Craig Twell.
Consti E beat Tigers C 6-3 with Mark Dixon beating Colin Hatter to seal victory. Their other wins came from Callum Ward, Dan Gent and Paul Merrill.
A tight game in Division Two was edged 5-4 by the Mail Cart against Lincoln A. Steve Rawding beat Simon Barnett to decide matters. Other Cart winners were Jacob Herd, Paul Faulkner and Josh Faulkner. Luke Rhodes and Ted Howling got the only singles wins for the Lincoln.
Ye Olde Abbey beat Punchbowl A 5-4 to go top. Stan Browing brought home the points with a win in the last game. Scott Lawrence, Elliot Capper and Dave Norbury got the others.
The Punchbowl’s only singles wins came from Chris Fidler and Paul Sellars.
It was the same result at Tigers B, who edged out Consti D 5-4. Danny Goddard beat Ady Smith last and fired in a 104 check-out and a 17-dart leg.
In Division Three, Drayman’s B romped to an 8-1 win against Punchbowl B. Jamie McHugh was the only winner for the Punchbowl.
Singles wins for Drayman’s came from Connor Hughes, Wigs Harrison, Shane Thorpe, Dan Wheatley and captain Graham French.
HUSC beat The Ship (Long Sutton) 5-4. Josh Moyses sealed home success, winning 2-1 against Tom Semper. The other two singles wins for HUSC came from Chris Blakey and Stuart Stephens.
