Road in Crowland to close on Saturday night

Spalding Road just outside Crowland is to be closed for repairs over night on Saturday (February 24).

The route will be closed off from 7.30pm on Saturday and reopen the following morning.

The diversion route for the closure will be via Barrier Bank, A16 and James Road and vice versa.

A highways spokesperson said: “We’ll be closing Spalding Road this weekend to provide a safe opportunity to investigate the cause of and repair a void that’s been reported to us.

“Depending on the severity of what we find, it may be necessary to patch the void and come back at a later date to permanently fix the problem to prevent this happening again. However, if this is the case, we will do our best to minimise disruption as much as possible.

“Thank you for your patience while these works are carried out.”
