Road closures stepped up again in Weston Hills for recovery work of crashed F-15 jet

Road closures around Weston Hills will be tightened again to allow recovery of the crashed F-15 military jet plane.

Over the next two days there will be heavy plant machinery in the village. Much of it will be approaching from the north end of the village and residents are asked for their patience at this time.

Access along Broadgate will be severely restricted between the junction with Moulton Chapel Road and Fengate Drove.

Insp Jim Tyner said: “For the past few days, we have been able to relax the road closure for residents but for the next couple of days there will be no access through the cordon. This is necessary for safety reasons.”

Insp Tyner said that it is hoped the recovery phase will be complete and the roads fully open by Saturday.
