Riders jump into the new summer season at Fourwinds Equestrian Centre

Fourwinds Equestrian Centre’s summer season is up and galloping.

The Leaves Lake Drove based organisation hold regular competitions including offering competitors who don’t own horses to hire them and compete alongside those who do.

First up on May 7 was an arena event for local riders which involved a course of show jumpers on an artificial surface followed by a course on the field.

Ginny Gray was on fine form, winning both the 60cm and 70cm categories on her horse Matrix.

Rachel Furzeland on Billy claimed the win over the 80cm fences.

HORSING AROUND: Ginny Gray and Matrix won two classes at Fourwinds’ recent Arena tournament.

On fortnightly Fridays throughout the summer Fourwinds also hosts its Show Jumping League events

This is a relaxed competition for riders and horses of all abilities and levels of experience.

Points can be totted up throughout the season as riders bid to improve their league places.
