Revellers brave snow for Long Sutton Christmas fayre

Sunday’s snowfall wasn’t enough to dampen spirits at the Long Sutton Christmas Fayre.

The event at St Mary’s Church featured a return of Santa’s grotto, which hundreds of children visited for free.

Long Sutton Parish Council Chairman Charles Moore said after the event: “Well we did it! Another year completed with just shy of 300 children in to meet Father Christmas.

“We actually saw more children than last year and everyone posted wonderful comments on social media.

“Many thanks to all the supporters, traders and people behind the scenes.”
As well as Santa – and his big yellow Minion friend – the fayre had carols, stalls and refreshments for those who braved the weather.
