Artist Joseph Hillier has revealed the sculpture designs which will be cast in bronze to become part of Spalding’s Town Trail.
The 14 pieces of artwork – all about 150mm high – were commissioned by Transported in conjunction with Spalding and District Civic Society in a project worth £18,000.
Local farmer and author Rex Sly is depicted in one of the sculptures, reading one of his books while standing next to a combine harvester’s tyre.
George Adams’ granddaughters Lizzie and Mary feature in another which might be located near the family butcher’s shop in The Crescent.
Latvian worker Paulina Pindara is seen packing broccoli in another scene and Spalding Auction clerk Ian Tyers was also a model.
Joseph said the sculptures will be “quite hidden” with people encouraged to find them.
He added: “I’ve immensely enjoyed it. It’s been an interesting project because I’m more known for making larger sculptures.”
