Return of horse and pony show

Long Sutton’s Horse and Pony Show makes a return this weekend after a break for the pandemic.

The event also includes a family dog show with classes ranging from Best Sausage Catcher to Scruffiest Dog – all cost £2 to enter.

Dog agility will also be taking place from 11am.

The whole event takes place at Cinder Ash Park and there is free parking at the football pitch.

A range of children’s amusements, trade stands and charity stalls will also be taking part and money is being raised for local charities.

The Horse and Pony Show includes a range of classes from Junior Handler to Prettiest Mare and Horse Agility.

There are also a range of ridden classes and the judging starts at 9.30am with the fun classes.

The show is affiliated to Equifest, which takes place at the East of England Showground in August and also to the Equine Sports Grassroots Championships which take place in Grantham next month.

“It’s the perfect place for first-timers and our judge will guide you through what you need to do,” said the organisers.
