Residents of a Pinchbeck road say they’re not happy after their street was resurfaced.
Those that live on Mountbatten Avenue were initially pleased work was being done but have criticised the patchy finish.
One resident, who did not wish to be named, said: “It looks awful.
“It appears shoddily done and there’s been parts coming off and sticking to road users.”
Lincolnshire County Council say a type of work was carried out to ensure the road would not suffer problems during the winter months.
Karen Cassar, assistant director for Highways said: “We recently carried out both saw-cut repairs and jet-patching repairs in the road to address different issues with the surface.
“Whilst saw-cut repairs are neater, they are used for deep surface problems. Our officer took the opportunity to carry out some jet-patching also and be pro-active in addressing minor surface issues ahead of the winter. These are surface developments that aren’t deep enough for the other sort of saw-cut repair.
“We took the chance to get some extra surface repairs in place whilst we could, in addition to the deeper type of repairs, so that residents won’t have to cope with a surface getting worse in the bad weather.
“We will continue to monitor the road and carry out any work needed as it becomes apparent, and we are able to do so.”
