Rescue kitten numbers rocket

Spalding’s Cats Protection is bursting at the seams with kittens looking for a new home.

There are currently 11 bundles of fun in residence with another 11 waiting for room.

And volunteers are urging cat owners to make sure they have their pets neutered to help call a halt to the population explosion.

“It is vital that people have their cats neutered. It is the only way to stop the influx of kittens we have,” said a spokesman for the Spalding branch.

“It is unusual to have so many kittens at this time of year. We also have a pair of older cats waiting whose owner sadly died and they really need a loving home,” she added.

Cats Protection can help with the cost of neutering – see the advert in today’s Voice or the website www.cats.org.uk for details.
