Request for help by Big Knitters at Age UK Spalding District

Age UK Spalding District is asking for knitting help for an annual fundraiser.

General manager Liz Walmsley said: “Every year we knit little bobble hats for the Innocent Big Knit campaign raising awareness for winter warmth.

“These little hats are put onto Innocent smoothie drinks in Sainsbury’s in the winter and we get 25p for every one knitted for our charity. We have to knit 10,000 up to January 2017 and then another 10,000 for next summer so there’s a lot of knitting to do!”
