Water issues as two separate main bursts close roads in Spalding.

Large parts of Spalding have a limited flow of water this afternoon (Wednesday, September 3) due to two water main bursts.

Water is gushing from underneath that road and Anglian Water say there’s also a leak in Winsover Road causing problems.

Both roads are currently closed as a result.

An Anglian Water spokesperson said: “We’re really sorry that some customers in Spalding may be experiencing low water pressure or no water at all this afternoon.

“This is due to two burst water mains in the area, on Haverfield Road and Winsover Road. Our engineers are already on the ground fixing the pipes as quickly as they can, and in the meantime we’re moving water around the network to get as many people’s taps running again as possible. Some customers should already have had their water supply restored.

“In order to keep our teams and other road users safe while we work, we’ll need to close Winsover Road and Park Road.

“We’re really sorry for the inconvenience this will cause.

“Thanks to our customers in Spalding for bearing with us while we get things back to normal.”
