Spalding Rugby Club’s Golf Day Pairs Competition enjoyed a record turnout this year with 76 players taking part.
Held at Spalding Golf Club’s Surfleet course, fine weather also helped ensure that the day was a great success.
The overall pairs winners were Frank Martino and Matthew Preece, with Graham Middleton and Martin Strickson finishing as runners-up.
In the mixed pairs event, Olive Gooderson and Wayne Wallace emerged victorious.
With all holes sponsored by the business community and TC Harrison Ford being the main event sponsors for the second year on the spin – plus generous raffle prize donations – a total in excess of £2,200 was raised on the day.
That money will go towards Spalding RFC’s new ground development.
