Record number of bikers at Spalding show jams venue surrounds

Springfields Events and Conference Centre’s car park and entrance road were jam-packed with motorbikes last Sunday (January 24).

A record number of bikers visited the annual Springfields Bike Show in Spalding, part of more than 3,000 visitors across the weekend.

Claire Lunn, of Weston firm Independent Event Management, said: “Because Sunday was dry we saw more people come on bikes than ever before.
“There were great stands from all the exhibitors especially our show sponsors Wheels Motorcycles who had many of the best new bikes on show.”

This year there was a display of classic motocross bikes and the star attraction on Sunday was British Superbikes rider Pete “Hicky” Hickman.
Racing guest on Saturday was Kirton’s ex-Supersport rider Ben Wilson.
