Raising the flag for South Holland

A Pinchbeck standard bearer is raising the flag for the area in competitions.

Alan Canham won the County Standard Bearers competition which qualifies him to take part in the East Midlands region competition in Nottingham this month.
You can see Alan at most parades in Lincolnshire at the front and he also represented the area at the Queen’s funeral.
He said: “It was a proud moment to be charged with the Lincolnshire County Standard representing Lincolnshire into the next round of the competition.
“It is nice to see other local standard bearers taking part to honour all the veterans. It was also an honour to receive my award.”
