Raising a glass for charities in Spalding

Two Gin and Prosecco Evenings in Spalding are set to provide local charities with some extra fizz.

Spalding Lions are putting on the special nights on Friday, February 2 and 16.

The event on February 16 is to raise funds for the Mia and Me appeal.

Cowbit’s Mia Clucas is the only person in the world with her particular genetic mutation.

As a result, the 17-month-old has an abnormal brain and is one of only a few 100 in the world to have Coffin-Siris-Syndrome (CSS).

The appeal has been set up by Mia’s aunty Victoria Clucas to help improve Mia’s quality of life in future years.

The Spalding Lions regularly make donations to a host of local charities and the February 2 event is being held to boost those funds.

Both of the events start at 7.30pm and includes a cocktail, three different gins and three proseccos to try and a ploughman’s platter.

Tickets costing £25 are available by calling 01775 724851.
