Raid on Long Sutton cash machine: four men admit charge

Four men are to be sentenced later next week after admitting a conspiracy charge following an attack on an ATM cash machine.

Leo Smith (20), of Spriggs Road, Peterborough; Levi Smith (49), of Coniston Road, Peterborough; Dale Smith (28), of Malvern Meadows, Worcester; and Levi Mitchell (31), of Gibb Croft, Harlow, Essex; each admitted conspiracy to commit burglary with intent to steal at the Spar Shop on London Road, Long Sutton, on October 19 this year.

The charge follows an incident in which a JCB was used to rip an ATM from the wall of the store during the early hours.

Levi Smith also admitted charges of driving while disqualified and driving without insurance on that date.

On Monday (November 16), all four men were remanded in custody by Judge Mark Rogers at Lincoln Crown Court to appear back for sentence on Friday, November 27.
