Race ace Hoggard ready to ignite his F3 title charge at Silverstone

Weston Hills racer Johnathan Hoggard is looking forward to reigniting a frenetic title fight as the BRDC British F3 Championship makes its second visit to Silverstone this weekend.

With just 40 points separating the Fortec Motorsport driver from points leader Clement Novalak, Johnathan’s objective is to continue to close the gap at the penultimate event of the season this weekend (16, 17, 18 August).

He’s got form on his side. At his last appearance at the home of the British Grand Prix in June, he secured two second-place finishes – two of the nine podiums he’s scored this season – including one in the reverse-grid race two where he powered his way through the field from 12th on the grid.

Then there’s his current run of results heading into rounds 19, 20 and 21.

At the previous event at Brands Hatch two weeks ago, Johnathan was the class of the field as he took double-pole position, his fifth win of the season and a podium to slash the deficit to his title rival.

Hoggard is confident his Silverstone form, the head of steam he’s built up from Brands, and Fortec’s detailed knowledge of how to get the best out of the series’ Tatuus chassis will come together to deliver another strong weekend.
