Division Three leaders Whittlesey C saw their unbeaten Spalding and District Snooker League start shattered by second-placed Pyramid E last Thursday.
The top two went head-to-head in a cracking contest, with the Bourne side eventually prevailing 4-2 thanks to a last-gasp frame win for Neil McLean (R7) over Mick Blythe (R14).
Adrian Sharpe (R14) and John Clapton (O7) were the other winners for Pyramid, who are now just two points off top spot.
That leaves third-placed Gosberton D as the only unbeaten side left in the third tier. They made it five wins from as many matches by seeing off hosts Consti D 4-2. Marcus Pell (O21), who made a 22 break, clinched the victory in the final frame.
Services D are also going well in fourth after they earned a 4-2 victory of their own against Consti A.
A black-ball triumph from Mike Small (R14) proved key for the victors.
Also winning 4-2 were a much-changed Long Sutton C. Fresh faces Malc Dennis (R7), Derek Beba (O14) and Thomas Horspool (O14) all earned frame wins in their 4-2 home victory over Consti J.
In Division One, a fabulous 35 clearance from Mark Woodberry (O35) helped high-flying Tulips B defeat Holbeach C 5-1.
Joe Garland (scr), Ady Sibley (R7) and Martin Deacon (O7) also chipped in with frame successes.
Services A also enjoyed a strong week as they won 5-1 at Pyramid B in a game that saw Jon Bettinson (scr), Alfonso Palumbo (O42), Pete Mullane (R21) and Mike Knight (O14) make breaks of 23, 22, 20 and 20 respectively.
Elsewhere in the top flight, there was a fine 46 break from Whittlesey A’s Terry Everitt (O14). That helped his side beat Consti F 4-2, as did a crucial 44-43 frame return from Gary Thewliss (scr) at the death.
Sean Swinburn (O49) was on dazzling form for Long Sutton A in his side’s 4-2 home victory over Tulips A.
He made breaks of 32 and 28 en route to defeating Simon Law (scr), while Keith Wells (O28) and Adam Barwell (O42) also won.
Holbeach D also bagged a victory as they triumphed 4-2 at Donington C. The game saw Neil Reynolds (O49) trouser a 30 break, while Ian Woodberry (R14) managed a 21 clearance.
In Division Two, leaders Consti G game unstuck at Services B 4-2.
A 25 break from Tim Nash (O21) was Services’ highlight, while Paul Doades (R7) and Jason Rose (O14) delivered their other wins.
High-flying Holbeach B had just too much for Consti I and emerged victorious to the tune of 4-2. Phil Coaten (O7) led the charge with a 23 break in the opening frame.

- A 78 break from Mick Johnson (O170) was the stand-out showing in Spalding and District Billiards League last week. He starred in a 5-2 win over Pyramid B.
Fellow big-hitter Rob Childs (O200) also shone as his Crowland B side saw off Gosberton 5-2. He notched up breaks of 44, 37 and 36.
Holbeach A were the big winners of the week with a 7-0 victory over Consti C, while breaks of 29 from Sid Shaw (O10) and an unfinished 21 unfinished from Norman Gookey (R80) helped Donington beat struggling Holbeach B 5-2.
