Putting 2021 into a Revue perspective

South Holland theatre Company Act II is putting the finishing touches to this year’s Revue.

Now a firm fixture on the calendar, the show has adult themes and adult content.

“Once again this year has been generous and forthcoming with content to satirise, lampoon and generally have a good laugh at,” says the company.

Tickets for the show are £7 and it will be on stage from December 15 to 18 at the studio, Unit 1 Welland Business Park, Clay Lake. Shows are 8pm on Wednesday and Thursday, 7pm and 9pm Friday and Saturday.

Rehearsals have been held regularly complete with best comedy accents.

Written by Charlotte and Karl Gernert, the Revue 21 is billed as a ‘silly, screwy, satirical sketch show,’ and there is bound to be plenty to laugh at from start to finish.

Karl said: “For those unfamiliar with the show, our annual Revue is when Act II takes a break from their usual youth theatre and four adult actors stage an original show for a more mature audience.

“As usual, the show will take in, chew up and spit back out moments from the year’s news: local, national and international, taking pot shots from the worlds of politics, celebrity and many many more.

“Details are kept tightly under wraps but 2021 has been a generous year for mockable news stories so expect a wide range of subjects.

“It’s been a tough year and we all deserve a laugh, so this is the show we all really need!”

All tickets are £7 and available from [email protected] . Space is limited in order to distance our audience groups so advance booking is strongly recommended.

The company has unveiled productions in the pipeline including Madagascar Jr and Bugsy Malone in January and London Road on February 4 and 5. It tells the story of the Ipswich strangler Steve Wright.
