Pupils make transept cross for Crowland Methodist Church

Crowland Methodist Church has a new wooden cross thanks to the efforts of two pupils from a school for boys with learning difficulties.

The project was carried out with great enthusiasm and came after a tentative inquiry to Wild Lodge School in Empingham, Rutland.
Church members are delighted with the cross which will be placed in the transept and will be a central focus in the church.

A spokesman said: “The church would like to take this opportunity to thank all who helped to make this cross and especially to the boys and staff who gave of their time and effort into this project freely.”
