Pupils have fun on the farm

Children in years five and six at Spalding’s Ayscoughfee Hall School were treated to a day at Willoughby Farm, spending time with the butchers and in the kitchens to see how the food we eat gets to our plates.

It was a very informative and enjoyable day led by Stuart and Alison Ashton and the other staff.

A school spokesman said: “The children learned a great deal from this experience and also had a delicious homemade cottage pie meal.”

Abigail Hodgett, Year 6 pupil, said: “My favourite part of the day was when we saw Star, Teddy and Bertie the calves.”
