Pupils find out about fruit and veg with market visit

Children from the reception class at Spalding’s Ayscoughfee Hall School had the chance to go shopping and try out their local market.

The youngsters visited lots of different stalls and each had 50p to buy fruit and vegetables to take back to school.

Ayscoughfee Hall school headteacher Clare Ogden said: “They enjoyed talking to the stall holders and were excited by their experiences.

“Back at school the children were able to discuss their purchases and had a good selection of fruit and vegetables for a tasting session.

“A big thank you to the Spalding stallholders for helping the children on a busy market day.”
