Puncture slows Abbi’s fine Ginetta GT5 Challenge progress at Donington Park

Abbi Pulling’s impressive season continued with another encouraging Ginetta GT5 Challenge performance at Donington Park over the weekend.

The Gosberton teenager enjoyed her best performance in race one of her three outings over the weekend as she placed 14th.

Pulling was then battling for tenth position in race two, before a puncture saw her drop back to 28th.

That ruined her hopes in race three, where she battled back from 27th to place 22nd.

She said: “In race one I aced the start but got caught up in a first corner incident and lost ground.

“A P14 finish was slightly disappointing, but on target nonetheless.

“Race two saw me starting from 16th. After a reasonable start it was a fairly steady race and I was closing onto the group battling for 10th.

“Unfortunately an incident left us with a puncture and a quick pit stop saw us finish two laps down in P28.”
