Punchbowl Panthers upset the odds to lift Mont Pell Trophy

Goals from Ashley Coddington and Markus Parry guided Punchbowl Panthers to glory in the Mont Pell Trophy final on Sunday.

The impressive Panthers beat favourites Sutton Bridge Sunday 2-1 in the Spalding Sunday League clash at the Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field. Jake Lally got their goal.

In the league, Pinchbeck United Sunday returned to the top with a 2-0 victory over Murrow Bell. John Fairweather and Bobby Patterson got the goals at Knight Street.

Elsewhere, Jubilee won 6-1 at Spalding Seas End Wanderers. Leigh Boekestyn (2), Steve Coles, Robbie Relf and Scott Britton were among their scorers. Michael Clarey replied.

Brennans Sports also fired as they beat Mulberry 6-0 with strikes from Scott Burrell, Tom Cherry, Carl Jones, Josh McGuire, Scott Phillips and Matt Wilson.
