Pumpkins are stolen from children in Donington

Heartless thieves have stolen pumpkins that a pre-school was selling to raise funds.

A crate of around 15 pumpkins were taken from Donington’s Little Pickles on Malting Lane.

“I can’t believe someone would stoop so low. We were raising money for halloween treats for the 44 children we look after,” said the nursery’s joint owner Dawn Parker.

“A light blue Vauxhall Astra-type car was see in the area later Sunday night when they went missing.

“Everyone was really fed-up. It’s very sad.”
