Pump track plan for Carter’s Park

A new track is being proposed for skateboarders, BMX riders and rollerbladers in Carter’s Park in Holbeach.

The parish council is looking to install a ‘pump track’.
It wants to hear from the public about their thoughts on the proposal an artist’s impression of which is pictured left.
A spokesman for the authority said: “In an exciting move to enhance community amenities, Holbeach Parish Council is considering the installation of a pump track at Carter’s Park.
“The track aims to provide dedicated space for BMX riders, skateboarders and rollerbladers of all ages to enjoy and practice their skills in a safe, purpose-built environment.
“To ensure that the project aligns with the community’s needs and interests, Holbeach Parish Council is conducting a survey to gather input from residents.
“The council invites all community members to share their thoughts, suggestions and support for the proposed pump track.”
l The council has also announced it’s to include gate access technology at its tennis courts in the park.
As previously reported in The Voice, tennis player who have booked to use the courts have been left frustrated by people hanging around in them and littering them.
A parish council spokesman said: “This initiative will ensure the court remains in top condition and easily accessible for those who have reserved their time slots.”
