Public artwork trail for Crowland

Crowland is in line for a trail of public art commissions highlighting the history and heritage of the town.

Arts programme Transported, which is working with Crowland Parish Council, has released a commission opportunity for artists. Anyone interested can download the brief at www.transportedart.com/artist-commissions-2015.
There is an open event for interested artists at Crowland Abbey on Monday, April 13 at 2pm.

Parish councillor John Parnell said: “Working with Transported is opening up our ideas, and we look forward to giving the town a boost through this exciting project.”
He is part of a guiding committee including David Searle, Sybil Speechley, David Kempton, Linda Boor, Margaret Beardshaw and a representative from South View Primary School.

Find out more about the project and meet the team at the abbey on Tuesday, May 12 at 7pm.
