Pride of district steps up to stage

After a slight delay, the Pride of South Holland Awards return tonight (Thursday, October 24).

A host of amazing people who do brilliant things for the community are in line for the awards that showcase some of the best the district has to offer.
Organiser Jan Whitbourn said: “We are finally there, trophies for the winners for the Pride of South Holland Awards 2024 will be presented this week.
“The nominations for each category excelled again this year, and the judges, as always, found it tough trying to make the decisions, especially when so many are doing such a lot, quietly in the background, in your community.
“All of the stories they have heard have been interesting and inspirational.
“It seems to have been especially overwhelming this year.
“Everyone nominated is a real hero.
“I would like to thank all those involved and the sponsors for their continued help and support with the Pride of South Holland Awards.
“I look forward to seeing everyone on Thursday evening and hope you have a lovely time.”
