Ahead of Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday, Spalding has been decked in a host of poppies.
Jan Whitbourn has been working with the Royal British Legion to purchase 400 of the flowers which have sponsored by groups and individuals.
A number of district councillors used their ward budgets to pay for them.
Jan said: “I got the idea a few years ago from other towns and villages where I had seen them, hopefully we can do so much more next year but this is a start.
“I got a couple of our members to help me, it took a couple of hours and it was worth it as everyone came through and kept saying what a difference it looks.
“A huge thank you to all the councillors who donated.”
