Polka Dot Academy and Limelight Youth Theatre are preparing to wow audiences as they take to the stage this weekend with everyone’s favourite Christmas classic, A Christmas Carol.
The production will be performed at the South Holland Centre, Spalding, Saturday, at 1.30pm and 6.30pm.
Taken from the classic Charles Dickens novel, the play tells the story of Scrooge, an old man who isolates himself from anyone he comes across.
After accusing his clerk Bob Cratchit of theft, he is taken on a mysterious journey through his life, meeting the ghosts of Christmas past, Christmas present and Christmas yet to come.
This journey reminds Scrooge that he was once a good person and that his wealth could do a world of good to those suffering around him.
He eventually becomes a completely upstanding, excellent, generous, and friendly fellow all round.
This classic tale is sure to get the whole family in high spirits ready for Christmas.
