Police officer injured in one collision and man arrested for dangerous driving in another

A police officer was among those injured as three road traffic collisions led to closures on South Holland’s road yesterday

The officer was attending an initial collision between a van and a bus on the A151, Holbeach Road at 5.40pm.

A car then subsequently collided with one of the vehicles involved.

As well as the police officer, another person was injured.

It came at a time when the A17 was closed due to a separate collision between two vehicles near Holbeach.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving as a result of that incident.

A police spokesman said: “Investigations are ongoing.”
