Police officer admits child porn offences

A police officer was today (Thursday) warned he could face a jail sentence after admitting child porn offences when he appeared at Lincoln Crown Court.

Paul Henry ( 42), an officer with Bedfordshire Police, pleaded guilty to eight charges of making an indecent image of a child.

He also admitted a further charge of possession of extreme pornography.

The offences took place on dates between January 1, 2012 and April 30, 2015.

Henry, of Quadring Road, Donington, was bailed to appear for sentence in January.

Judge Michael Heath, in granting bail, told him: “The fact that you are granted bail today does not mean you won’t go to prison when you come to be sentenced. All options are open.”
