The incident took place on the Coronation Channel, near to Cowbit Road, yesterday (March 30) but police haven’t said at what time.

The man they are searching for is described as being in his thirties, skinny, bald and at the time of the incident was wearing a black jumper and dark trousers.

They have posted advice on social media channels.

Sergeant Callum Corder of South Holland Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “We have multiple lines of inquiry underway as we try to identify the man, and we would urge anyone who may have been the victim of a similar crime to please get in touch.

“Any information, no matter how small will enable us to focus our investigation most effectively.”

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police, said: “We’re making the public aware of a recent report of a man alleged to have been exposing himself, masturbating in public, along the Coronation Channel near to Cowbit Road, Spalding.”

• If someone nearby appears distressed, check whether they need help or support.

• Encourage witnesses to report what they’ve seen.

6. Use personal safety tools

• Consider sharing your location with a trusted contact when travelling alone.
