Police investigating spate of burglaries in Spalding and Crowland

Homes in Spalding and Crowland have been the target for a spate of burglaries during Tuesday and Wednesday.

Three properties were burgled in Spalding and there was also an attempted break-in.

A property in Chestnut Avenue was burgled some time between 5pm on Tuesday and 7am on Wednesday (police incident 45, March 4) and a house in West Elloe Avenue was targeted between 4.30pm and 8.30pm on Tuesday (incident 421, March 3).

Police said: “It is not clear at this time what has been stolen during these two burglaries.”

And a property in Albert Street was burgled some time between 8.30am and 8pm on Tuesday.

Police said: “The offender gained entry by smashing a glass patio door at the rear and stole items of jewellery, including gold rings and a bracelet and pendant with ‘Mum’ engraved on it.”

A report was also received of the back door glass of a property in Queens Road being smashed, but no entry was gained.

Meanwhile in Crowland, a property in Cloot Drove was burgled between 7.30am and 6.45pm on Tuesday. A TV and a laptop were stolen (incident 367, March 3).
