Witness appeal as police investigate cause of man’s ‘serious injuries’ in Spalding

Witnesses are urgently being sought to help police establish how a 34-year-old man suffered “serious injuries” in Spalding on Sunday. (Oct 16)

Police were called at about 7.15pm. The footway outside two shops near the junction of Winsover Road and St Thomas’s Road was taped off and a police scene guard was in place until mid-morning on Monday.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police said late on Monday morning: “The man was taken to hospital where he is currently receiving treatment.

“We do not know how this man came about his injuries. They could be the result of a fall or an assault.  The call came in at 19.18 but the exact time the injuries occurred is not clear.

“Police are urgently appealing for any witnesses who can help establish a full picture of what has happened.”

Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting incident 368 of October 16.
