Police appeal over incident that left 69-year-old woman trapped under bus

Police are appealing for information regarding an incident that saw a 69-year-old woman get trapped under a bus.

The incident occurred in Winfrey Avenue, Spalding at around 6pm on Thursday, December 22 with the woman having to be cut out from under the vehicle by fire crews.

She suffered serious injuries though police now say they’re non life-threatening.

In a statement released today (Wednesday, December 28), police said: “We are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a collision on Winfrey Avenue, Spalding last week.

“Shortly after 6pm on Thursday 22 December, we attended a collision involving a bus and a woman. The 69-year-old woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries, which are thankfully not life-threatening.

“The road was closed until around 2am to allow officers to deal with the incident.

“Investigations are still ongoing, and we are keen to hear from those who may be able to help with our inquiries. There are a number of ways to contact us.
