Plenty of positives for South Lincs Competitive Swimming Club at Welbourn meet

A squad of 15 members from South Lincs Competitive Swimming Club brought home an impressive 17 medals over 19 events from the Rob Welbourn Open Meet in Deeping.

The swimmers, whose ages ranged from nine to 15 years, entered the 50m and 200m events at the event – clocking a host of personal best (PB) times in the process.

Youngsters Anish Suwarneraj (age 9), Nitesh Anbazhagan (10) and Beatrice Finch (10) made their competitive Open Meet debut for the club, gaining PB times in their swims, while Mollie Briggs (11), Ellie O’Brien (9), Edward Skells (12), Anya Strickland (10) and Atticus Strickland (13) all secured top three places in their races.

O’Brien (50m fly), Atticus Strickland (50m fly) and Skells (50m backstoke) also achieved county qualifying times.
