Runners from Spalding’s Halmer Harriers ran their own version of the Peterborough Great Eastern Run over the weekend.
Six members of the club wanted to earn the medal they were awarded for being contestants in the original run, which was cancelled the previous weekend.
Those in action were Dawn Allen (2.30.40hrs), Vanessa Smithson (2.30.40hrs), Di Lettice (2.30.40hrs), Alexandra Gills (2.20.00hrs) (PB), Julie Thorold (2.17.00hrs) and Marie Sampson (2.00.03hrs).
It was a busy weekend for other members of the Harriers, too.
At the Thorseby 10k, Colin Crump (50.31mins), Marie Sampson (53.53mins) and Joanne Jacklin (1.32.00) represented the Spalding club well.
Also at Thorseby, Louise Southgate clocked a PB of 1.28.46hrs as she contested the 10-mile version of the course.
There were two personal best times for Halmer runners at the York Marathon, too.
Ade Mills (3.58.28hrs) and Andrew Hooker (4.09.19hrs) both set new benchmarks, while Susan Booth (6.14.29hrs) also completed the course.
Staying at York, Martin Wallis (1.09.11hrs) and Steph Beavis (1.23.51hrs) both finished the 10-mile event.
Not to be outdone, Di Morris also got a marathon in. She took 4.55.31hrs to finish the Langdale Marathon.
