Plans for 81 homes in Holbeach recommended for approval

Plans for 81 new homes in Holbeach have been recommended for approval, providing around £450,000 is provided for infrastructure.

The application for the site east of Chaffinch Way by Ashwood Homes has received numerous objections including from MP Sir John Hayes and Holbeach Parish Council

Concerns included the access to the homes and lack of facilities in the town, but planning officers argue the land is ear-marked for housing in the already passed South and East Lincolnshire Local Plan.

South Holland District Council’s Planning Committee, which meets to discus the decision next Wednesday (January 12), is being urged to give the development the go-ahead providing conditions are met including £404,337 towards education and an NHS contribution of £54,460.
