DOUBLE DEAL: Pinchbeck United player/boss Ian Dunn.

Pinchbeck United have swooped to secure their first two signings of the summer.

Returning player/boss Ian Dunn has raided Boston United Reserves for central midfielder Elliott Price, while also moving to secure the services of former Peterborough United youth talent Tyler Wright – who shone at Knight Street last season.

Dunn, who won the ChromaSport Peterborough League Premier Division and PFA Cup double in his first spell with Pinchbeck, is pleased with the double deal and hopes to add further fresh faces over the coming days.

“I’m pleased to keep Tyler at the club,” said the former Boston Town chief. “He’s a promising young player who will play and improve over the course of the season.

“It’s important we keep as many local young players involved as we can, as well as adding some new and experienced players to complement them.
“Elliott is highly rated and should be a really good signing for us. He’s a very promising young player.”

Pinchbeck will kick off their Peterborough Premier Division season at Netherton United on August 9. Fellow South Holland side Holbeach United Reserves begin at Sawtry on the same day, whlle Crowland Town host Ramsey Town (all 2pm).

Moulton Harrox kick off with a home derby against Pinchbeck on August 12 (6.30pm).

Pinchbeck’s pre-season schedule: July: Sat 12 – Benington (A) 2.30pm; Wed 16 – Swineshead (H) 6.30pm; Fri 18 – Wisbech Town Res (H) 6.15pm; Tues 22 – Skegness Utd (H) 6.30pm; Sat 26 – March Town United (A) 3pm; Tues 29 – Sutterton (H) 6.15pm.
