Pinchbeck Guides try their hand at indoor bowls with Spalding IBC

Pinchbeck Guides tried their hand at bowls at Spalding Indoor Bowls Club last week.

The club’s junior coaches assisted with the evening as well as two junior bowlers, including Danielle Wild who represented England at under-18 level in 2018.

The club is hoping that the guides enjoyed their evening enough to come back for junior coaching, which is held on a Saturday morning between 8.45am and 11am. The sessions are due to start again in September.

Spalding pride themselves on their junior bowls section, some of which have come through the junior ranks and represented England at under-18, under-25 and senior level, as well as winning club, county, national and British Isles titles.

The club under-25 team have also won the national double rink title twice in recent history.

As a result of the club being well known for their excellent junior section, Spalding will host the national under-25 singles finals for the first time in 2020.
