Pied Calf keep up winning ways in Division 2 and maintain their 100 per cent start to the season in the Spalding and District Darts League.
In the latest round of games, they beat Drayman’s B 7-2. After going 2-1 up in pairs they won five of the six singles.
The only singles winner for Drayman’s was Graham French, who beat Paul Faulkner. There were 180s for Stu Page and Chris Howling. Jacob Herd had a snappy 18-dart leg in the singles and Faulkner and Page had a fine 15-dart leg in their pairs victory.
Elsewhere in Division 2, Punchbowl beat Holbeach Services 6-3.
After going 2-1 up in the pairs, Punchbowl then had wins for Phil Reed, Ant Norman, Jordan Phillpot and Dan Mills to seal victory.
Tigers B beat Consti D 5-4 to go joint second in the league.
They started off well winning the first two pairs games.
But a pairs’ win and a win for John Robinson levelled the game at 2-2.
The next few games levelled the score and it was 4-4 going into the last game.
The last game saw Tigers’ Danny Goddard beat Steve Emery 2-0 with a 17-dart leg to grab victory for his team.
Ship Long Sutton also keep up their 100 per cent record in Division 3, beating Green Dragon B 6-3.
Winning two of the three pairs, they followed up with wins by Tom Burton, Travis Stapleton, Jake Hinta-Penta, and Zach Chapman.
Ship’s captain Stapleton had a 18-dart leg in his victory over Finn Mottram.
Lincoln Arms B had a fine 7-2 win over Drayman’s C.
Lincoln won all three pairs and had singles wins from Vlad Fomkinas, Lesley Chamberlain, Nigel Goodwin, and John Charlton.
Drayman’s wins came from Connor Newton and Jack Morton.
Riverside Hotel had a close 5-4 win against Moulton Harrox.
Riverside went 2-1 up in the pairs and had singles wins from Tracey Baldwin, Steve Taylor and Carl Kirk to seal the win.
Tigers C remain top of Division 1 with a 6-3 win over Consti E.
Winning two of the three pairs set them up and then wins for Colin Hatter, Simon Hill, Mark Horspool and Ant Richardson sealed the victory.
Mark Dixon and Jason Chilvers were the two singles winners for Consti E.
Richardson had a maximum and Horspool had a fine 16-dart leg.
Consti’s Chilvers had a fine 132 check out in his victory.
Hot on Tigers C heels is Consti A who beat Ye Olde Abbey 8-1.
Dave Norbury was the sole winner for the Abbey who had a 113 check out in a 15-dart leg to beat Kieran Bowman.
Sam Robers and Jason Vines both hit maximum 180s and the pair had an 18-dart leg in the pairs.
Vines went even better in the singles and had a 14-dart leg, Chris Fidler had a 15-dart leg and brothers Nick and Aron Moyses had an 18-dart leg in the pairs.
The final game in Division 1 was a close 5-4 victory for Rose and Crown over the Drayman’s A.
Drayman’s started well winning two of the three pairs but wins for Tyger Atkin, who had a 14-dart leg, and Dan Carnell who had a 180 and a 17-dart leg turned the tie to 3-2 to the Rose and Crown.
Richard Cooper won for the Drayman’s to level the game but wins for Hank Watson and Ian Lawson sealed victory for the Rose and Crown.
