Person taken to hospital after being cut from car

A person has been taken to hospital after being cut out of a vehicle following a two vehicle collision in Tydd St Giles.

The incident happened at around 10pm on Saturday, June 26, on Main Road.

Fire crews from Spalding, Long Sutton and Wisbech attended the incident with hydraulic cutting equipment used to release one person from a vehicle.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: “We sent one ambulance and a rapid response vehicle.

“One person was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further care.”
