Person dies in Pinchbeck after being hit by train

A person has died after being struck by a train in Pinchbeck in the early hours of this morning (Friday).

British Transport Police attended a call at Blue Gowt Lane just after 3am.

A police statement said:

“‘Officers were called to the line close to Pinchbeck at 03.19am this morning following reports a person had been struck by a train.

“Paramedics also attended, but sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Officers are currently working to identify them and inform their family.

‘The incident is not thought to be suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
