Person airlifted to hospital after suffering cardiac arrest

A person was airlifted to hospital this morning after suffering a cardiac arrest in Spalding.

The Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance landed close to The Parkway in Spalding after being called to the area just before 10.45am (Friday, April 24).

It took the casualty to Lincoln County Hospital.

A spokesperson at the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance said: “On Friday, April 24, the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance was dispatched to a cardiac arrest in Spalding just before 10.45am.

“Our Air Ambulance arrived on scene in just 14 minutes, a journey that by land could have taken over an hour. Our crew treated a patient before airlifting them to the specialist Cardiology Unit at Lincoln County Hospital in just 17 minutes, a journey that by land could have taken up to an hour and a half.

“The life-saving work of the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance is only possible thanks to the generosity of local people who continue to support our Charity. 

“As we monitor developments with the COVID-19 pandemic, we remain committed to providing a pre-hospital critical care response.”
