People injured while cars and building damaged as collision shuts road.

Two people were taken to hospital and a building was damaged in a road traffic collision that closed roads in Spalding this morning.

The incident involving a lorry and a number of parked cars took place in Commercial Road at 5.40am this morning (Monday).

Two men who were in the lorry were taken to hospital.

A property in the vicinity was also damaged during the incident which closed the road between Albert Street and Holbeach Road.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police, said: “A collision between a lorry and stationary vehicles was reported to us at 5.40am.

“A road closure is in place on Commercial Road and two men from the lorry have been taken to hospital.

“A property has also been damaged.”
