PDFL round-up: Sutton Bridge beaten as Holbeach Reserves take derby spoils

Holbeach United Reserves took the derby bragging rights in the ChromaSport PDFL Premier Division on Saturday as they saw off Sutton Bridge United 3-1 at Carter’s Park on Saturday.

Luke Nicholson, John Smith and Jordan Keeble (pen) earned the Tigers all three points, with Craig Pack hitting back for Bridge.

Holbeach and Sutton Bridge, who both have just two league games left to play this season, are fifth and 13th as a result.

Down in Division One, Crowland Town suffered a 3-2 home reverse against Oundle Town at Snowden Field. Juliano Resta and Ashley Pratt got the Crowland goals, but they were ultimately outgunned.

Also beaten were Moulton Harrox Reserves, who went down 3-0 at home against Bretton North End.

Completing a miserable day for Division One sides were Spalding Town, who were dumped out of the Challenge Cup by Uppingham Town. Ash Wilson netted for Town at Knights Street, but they went down 5-1.

Meanwhile, Whaplode Drove bagged a 2-0 win over Ketton Reserves in Division Two as Danny Firth and Caulton Mills bagged.

Spalding Athletic picked up a 1-1 draw against Stamford Lions Reserves in the same division.

Meanwhile, Long Sutton Reserves beat Holbeach Bank 2-0 in the Spalding Inter-Services with Shane Millar and Matt Rose the scorers.

In Division Four, goals from Kyle Compton (2) and Ewan McCracken steered Holbeach Sports to a 3-0 win at Kings Cliffe Reserves, while Tydd Reserves beat Parkside 4-1 with Tim Lowe grabbing a hat-trick.
